We make decisions in life based on our circumstances. Consider a simple decision like what to eat? Sometimes we go for heavy meals other times we prefer snacks. It all depends on our hunger intensity.

Conditional statements can be used to model these if-else decisions in code. A conditional statement examines one or more conditions and then performs a task based on the results (s).

Here is the list of major conditional operators and statements used in JavaScript:

  • ifelse if, and else statements
  • Comparison operators
  • Logical operators
  • Truthy vs falsy values
  • Ternary operators
  • switch statement
